Unhealthy ingredients: high heat

Several published studies have linked the incidence of liver cancer to an increased risk of colon, rectal, pancreas, breast and prostate cancer.

Adding spice extracts rich in antioxidants, such as rosemary, to pancakes before roasting can reduce the production of HCAs by up to 90 percent, according to a study published in the Journal of Food Science. Another way to reduce your risk? Reduce the heat, as the burned meat has higher concentrations of HCAs.
Unhealthy ingredients: phthalates
You may not know how to pronounce it, but you should know what phthalates are. This is because many of us take this class of chemical toxins that cause endocrine disorders. Similar to BPA, phthalates are used in the packaging and wrapping of food and plastic drinks – and they do not stay there. In 2016, a study of environmental health prospects found that people who ate fast food often had higher levels of dose-dependent phthalate compounds compared to those who ate rare. And this is just the beginning of bad news for breakfast lovers all day long, as a separate study published in the Science & Technology magazine revealed that phthalates are associated with the CRP sign of inflammation, and another study in Health Health is associated with high exposure to phthalates with metabolic syndrome, a disease usually associated with increased levels of inflammation Weight gain.

Instead: the best advice is to reduce the number of trips you have to fast food places, and perhaps look at fast restaurants instead because these establishments use packages less frequently. We can only imagine how many broken Bunsen burners it took to find the familiar energy drink formula now. These medical-tasting drinks are exaggerated chemical cocktails with caffeine content in a strong cup of coffee and lots of sugar (or frightening artificial sweetener). Here’s why you worry: A University of Maryland study found that energy drinks are 11 percent more corrosive to your teeth than regular soda. Gross, right? Another disturbing discovery came from a 50-year-old construction worker case study; consuming too many energy drinks can destroy the liver. The report, published in BMJ Case Reports in 2016, found that a man developed acute hepatitis after consuming four to five energy drinks per day over a three-week period.

Unhealthy ingredients: arsenic
Despite the myriad health benefits of brown rice – which includes indigestion and selenium-boosting metabolism fibers – there is one reason why you might consider eating white pills over brown: arsenic levels. Recent analyzes by the Food and Drug Administration found that arsenic appears at alarming rates in popular brown rice. Not only is arsenic known to be a carcinogen, but long-term exposure to high levels of arsenic is also associated with high rates of skin, bladder and lung cancer, as well as heart disease, according to the FDA. Since arsenic seeps into the outer layers of grains, it remains in brown fiber-rich rice but not in polished white rice.
